HERITAGE Lime Mortar and Lime Putty Work

We do alot of church restoration work, the principles of which we carry out on all the work that we do.

The Exterior Lime Plaster Work we carry out, uses 3.5 Hydraulic Lime, perfect for the Norfolk Area.

For our Interior Lime Plaster Work we use Air Dried Lime, except where we have extreme damp conditions, where we will use a hydraulic lime.

Conservation Work

Conservation work we carried out on the interior of Aylmerton Church using Lime wash:

The plasters ability to control moisture makes them highly appropriate for use with other ecological materials such as straw, wood and earth, hence their growth in new eco/green builds.

Lime plasters can improve the internal environment as they help to regulate humidity by absorbing moisture and, unlike modern plasters, do not promote the growth of mould spores which are believed to contribute to asthmas and other respiratory problems.

We will shortly be carrying out reseration interior work on the Bodham Church North Norfolk with Lime wash and render finishes.
